Nayarit Mexican Cuisine in Durango

We just ate at this local gem, and we're apparently the last to know how amazing this place is! Completely packed at 5 pm when we arrived. We came with our kids, age 7 and 10... They ate everything we did... Queso Fundido and molcajete. Will be happy to eat here again and the margaritas are to die for!! Thank you Nayarit for an amazing evening!!!

Truly amazing!! I love the quesadillas!! Everyone here is so nice and the food is incredible. The guacamole is amazing. I definitely recommend if you want good food!

Delicious food! My Plato Vallarta was spot on and so fresh! Canitas were flavorful and tender and authentic flavor although they could have been a bit more juicy. My sis always gets the steak fajitas and the steak was lean and veggies perfectly sauteed. Guac was bright and tasty although the salsa was a bit to hot for me, but I am more of a Pico de Gallo girl. Thanks for a wonderful dinner! The pick up staff were kind and courteous and even threw in extra chips and salsa for free. To bad the interior dining was closed, because the new Walmart location is very upscale and lovely inside.

They had me at "prickly pear margarita." The food was delicious and plentiful. I had the burrito de chile relleno and my husband had the combination plate. The salsa had just the right amount of kick!

One of the better restaurants we have been to for dinner in Durango. Service was friendly and speedy and the food was prompt, warm and tasty. We will be back. Give it a try!

Quality, taste, service all outstanding. This place defines quality and taste with a smile. Congrats on a wonderful place to eat.

Too many rules. They nickel & dime you for everything. Only 2 refills for drinks, only 2 free refills for chips and salsa. 75 cents extra for flour tortilla for street taco. Extra $1 to make a kids taco crispy. Sat 10 mins before we had to ask for someone to take our order. Food was good, but not $40 for lunch good.

It was okay. My wife's enchiladas came out barely warm. The cheese wasn't melted in the middle. Seems like they wanted to hurry up and service and get us out. Don't have to go back.

Great food, margaritas and atmosphere! We are from the Dallas area, so are hard to please with mexican food. This place was fantastic, highly recommend. Rhonda at the front was great! Excellent service! We are only here a few days and are going back a second time!

Great option! Even a vegan cactus taco option, and beans without lard. Horray! The chips are warm and salty, and salsa tasty and fresh! Even the margaritas are a decent price and delish! Can't wait to go back!

Carne asada Burrito is big enough for two, my wife had the carne Asada plate . I'm giving it a 4 star just because they ran out of rice 😢 very tasty and the patio is very cozy.....

Very good and authentic Mexican food

This restaurant is an amazing date spot! It's small and cozy, the decor is festive and not at all boring, and the staff are all very attentive. Be prepared to wait because like I said its snark and cozy. Which is great for dates, but it means there's not a lot of tables. The food is always top notch and fresh as well. They have a pretty unique menu as well as; some seafood choices you don't usually see in these kinds of restaurants.

Always great food. Very fresh. If you like shrimp, this is one of the only places to get them with flavor. Calamari is great. Had one time that it was over cooked, but they gladly brought another helping which was right on the money. Service has always been great as well.

Amazing food! The salsa was so fresh and had the best zing to it! The service was outstanding, we took a group of 24 and the accomidations they were able to make were very impressive! Would 12/10 recommend to anyone in the area!

The food was great! As well as the drinks. We were there on Tuesday for the special and it was amazing. Wonderful service all around and everything was very reasonably priced. Probably my new favorite Mexican place.

We had a great time at Nayarit. Good atmosphere. I had the special of chipotle chicken strips. It was delicious. They offer you plenty of free chips and great salsa. Our server was quite friendly and efficient.

Fantastic food. A wonderful assortment of options, and the environment inside is beautiful. That being said, my personal experience there wasn't the most pleasant... As a smaller restaurant, parking is tricky, the place was cramped and quite noisy. If you can avoid peak times of the day, I would highly recommend this place!This would be a good place to be adventurous and try some slightly different Mexican dishes than your used to - chances are good you would be pleasantly surprised.

Great tasting beef fajitas and salsa, my wife had Taco salad with chicken fajitas both were good, and a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere to boot. The staff is friendly and helpful! 😃👍what a great decision to stop here for Mexican food .

Amazing Mexican food. We were visiting from out of town looking for some really great Mexican food, we found it. Order take out, everyone in our group was impressed.

Definitely the best Mexican restaurant in town by far. Awesome food, great portions, margs are really good. I do recommend the better top tier margs, they are better, seem to have less ice or more booze. Tiny little place but the service is nice and fast. Food comes in like 2 seconds.

A favorite go to place for my family since moving to Durango 4 years ago. Very good food and service.

Being from Arizona, I wasn't sure I wanted to try Mexican food that wasn't close to the border. But oh boy did this place deliver! The Carne asada burrito was great! Loved the food, and the green sauce was some of the best I have ever had.I only give it 4/5 though because the beans and rice were not great and tasted bland, and 2 tables were sat before us even though we were there first and waiting.
